This week on The Texas Bucket List, we have some sweet drinks, eats, and treats for you to try as you make your way around the Lone Star State!
Be sure to stop and smell the lavender at the Lavender Festival in Blanco! Cut your own stems, wear some purple, and take a sip of the sweet Lavender Lizzie.
Next we get a handle on a Harley of a hamburger from Yankee’s Tavern in Carlos. You might have to wade through a parking lot packed with bikes to get in, but you don’t need one yourself to enjoy the good eats, drinks, and company!
After that we ride out to the Grand Stafford Theater in Downtown Bryan to listen to Jay White & the Blues Commanders rock out to “I Got a Good Woman.”
For our last stop, we’ve saved the best for last. Blake at Blake’s Snow Shack in Sanger shows us how to make the perfect summer snack and how he’s overcome his disability to become one of the youngest businessmen in Sanger. His happy spirit, love for his community, and talent for making a tasty treat just goes to show that Down Syndrome does not have to define your life. Be sure to make Blake’s a stop this summer on The Texas Bucket List!
