The Texas Bucket List Christmas Special
Merry Christmas, y’all! Have you got your Christmas Bucket List ready? Put on your coats, warm up your caroling voice, and grab a cup of wassail because this week we are dedicated to everything there is to see, do, and experience on The Texas Bucket List: Christmas Edition.
To start things off in the Christmas spirit we visit the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine to view one of the best Texas-themed Christmas displays in the state. Featuring over 2 million lights among other displays, the Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star Christmas will put a twinkle in your eye and a smile in your heart just like old Saint Nick.
Of course, what’s Christmas without a festive burger full of cheer? Tycoon Flats in San Antonio pulls out all the stops to bring you a jolly red, green, and white holiday hamburger. The Feta Cranberry Candied Bacon Burger is only available during the holiday season, so you’d better hurry to cross this one off your list!
Next it’s time to gather around the fire with your boots and cowboy hat to sing along with Gary P. Nunn belting out the lyrics to “It’s Christmastime in Texas.” Following Gary P. Nunn are the sweet, angelic voices of the New Braunfels Christian Academy Choir with a holiday favorite, “Silent Night.”
Lastly, we go a-wassailing among the leaves so green in New Braunfels at the annual Wassailfest. Come and sip a nice, warm cup of wassail and fill yourself with holiday cheer! Love and joy come to you, and to you your wassail too!

Happy Birthday to Gary P. Nunn!
We wanted to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the legendary Gary P. Nunn!
We toast to Gary today and every day on his cosmic cowboy music that changed the landscape of the Lone Star State in the 70’s and still rocks today. Hardly a day goes by where we don’t sing along to greats like “London Homesick Blues”, “What I Like About Texas”, and “Taking Texas To The Country”!
Enjoy this short video in honor of Gary and his incredible career that we put together for Gary when he turned 70 last year.
