This Week on The Texas Bucket List – Campobella Bronze Sculptors, Muddbones Burgers and Caddo Indian Mounds

This week’s episode of The Texas Bucket List will have nature lovers wanting to get outside while also intriguing the art and history lovers everywhere.

First up we are talking to a native Texan who combines his love for sculptors and passion for his state in a truly beautiful way. Campobella Bronze Sculptors will dig deeper into Texas history than you ever went in school, drawing every visitor deeper into love for the Lone Star State.

Next we check out Muddbones Burgers for a good old fashion greasy burger that will satisfy anyone’s appetite. These two unlikely business partners make their differences work together to create some of the spiciest most delicious concoctions you have ever seen.

Finally we step outside at the Caddo Mound State Historic Site to learn about the people who inhabited Texas oh so long ago. Locals still stay rooted in the culture, reminding us the importance of our ancestors.

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – Santa Claus Museum in Columbus, Mark’s Outing in San Antonio, and Pumpville Baptist Church

This week on The Texas Bucket List we have a wide variety of stops from ghost towns to burger joints in the city and a museum that will have you wishing it was time for the holidays already.
Our first stop is the Santa Claus Museum in Columbus. This little place keeps the holiday spirit alive 365 days a year with hundreds and hundreds of Santa figurines. While the collection was originally just a family tradition it has grown into an attraction you have to see to believe.
Next up we are going to satisfy our sweet tooth and our love for a classic burger all at the same time. This small restaurant on the East side of the Alamo City combines dessert and lunch with their ice cream burger, a culinary masterpiece you never thought could be this delicious.
Lastly, we will slow things down in the small ghost town of Pumpville. The local Baptist church is quite a drive, but the tight knit community and weekly pot luck make it worth the trip.

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – The Desk in Alpine, Flip ‘n Patties in Houston and Halepaska Bakery in Victoria

This week on The Texas Bucket List we are exploring the great outdoors and stuffing ourselves with tasty burgers as well as delectable treats!

On our first stop we take a hike to see one of the most scenic traditions at Sul Ross State University. It turns out the library is not always the best place to study! The scenery from the desk on Hancock Hill will surely leave you speechless.

Next up we visit Flip ‘n Patties for a unique cultural spin on burgers. This blend of Filipino dishes and the classic American burgers will have you rushing to Houston to taste it yourself. It’s definitely a first for the show!

Then we will get a special performance from the incredible country singer Mark Walton as he performs All Paths Lead Home. You won’t want to miss it!

For dessert we will satisfy your sweet tooth at Halepaska Bakery in Victoria. Here you will find old time favorites along with some wild new treats concocted by the owners themselves.

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – Toilet Seats in San Antonio, Mom’s Diner in Lufkin, and Longhorn Cavern State Park

his week on The Texas Bucket List our travels will take us on journeys that are not only fun to see but have intriguing histories.

First we will meet a man whose unorthodox collection has made him a star, both locally and nationally with interviews from famous reporters and visits from casual viewers alike. While Barney Smith’s Toilet Seat Museum is definitely light-hearted and fun, the man’s love and dedication to his art is truly touching.

Next up we check Mom’s Diner for a meal that you have to see to believe. Here we will get a burger so massive it has definitely lived up to its name as the Mom’s Monster. Don’t let that scare you though, this family owned joint in Lufkin makes an absolutely delicious burger that will leave you stuffed.

Our final stop is in a state park unlike any you have ever seen before! The Longhorn Cavern will have you mesmerized with the magnificent shine of its Hall of Diamonds and unforgettable history of relentless hard work that unearthed this stunning monument.

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – Weird Art, a Diner in Waco and Small Homes in Spur

On this episode of The Texas Bucket List prepare for a wide variety of unique visits that will inspire your creative side and have you rethinking the way you remodel your home.

At our first stop, get a tour of an art studio whose owner is just as eccentric as his art. This roadside artist is trading out paintbrushes for chainsaws to create some amazing masterpieces.

Next up we stop by Waco for a burger joint that has been around for nearly a century. Here, visitors can enjoy a classic burger in an old fashion restaurant they won’t soon forget.

Enjoy some tunes from Zane Williams as he plays the country favorite “Slow Roller.” Just try to keep from dancing!

Our last trip takes us to Spur, Texas where residents are looking to upgrade into smaller homes. The tiny home movement has never looked so fun!

So buckle up and get ready, it’s going to be an adventurous ride!

On our first stop we will  meet a man whose love for phones continued on after his life long career in a phone company with the ownership of an old fashion phone museum.

Then, prepare to meet a cook whose personality is just as unforgettable as his burgers. Boss Burger will remind you that a burger doesn’t have to be fancy to be delicious!

And we’ll pop a top of some delicious old fashion soda at Dublin Bottling Works and explore of the famous factory that once made Dr. Pepper.

Season 10 of The Texas Bucket List Premieres This Weekend!

This week on 10th season premiere of The Texas Bucket List we are uncovering hidden gems in some of the most unexpected places, in both small towns and bustling cities.

To start off, we take a trip under the streets of Houston to an often-overlooked cistern. Abandoned and forgotten in the 1920s, the monument was recently found when construction crews were preparing to convert the space into a new parking lot. Now, the area is open to the public and leaves visitors in awe.

This episode’s burger of the week includes deer, bison and bears. Oh my! Jasper’s Diner is sure to be an unforgettable treat with their unique take on an American classic.

Next up, we take a travel to Fischer to learn a unique way of bowling in an old school setting. Fischer Bowling Hall is free from computers and automated pin setters, and they shake up the sport by using rules from the 1800s.

On our last stop, kick back and enjoy some Texas country with music from Stoney LaRue. Just try to keep from dancing!

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – Hotels, Hamburgers and Hauntings

This week we’re visiting some places that will send chills up your spin and leave your taste buds curious as to what just happen.

Oh if walls could talk! The stories the Hotel Galvez in Galveston would be able to tell at our first stop would be absolutely amazing. Don’t worry though, because we found the next best thing, Mr. Hilton. Bobby Hilton is capable of telling great stories about Hollywood stars and legendary ghosts, and that’s just what he does during our first stop in this episode.

In our burger of the week segment things get a little bananas with the Hannah Banana burger at The Shack in Cypress. Bananas and banana chips and tai peanut sauce on a burger, oh my!

Next we find ourselves in a three story mansion in Gonzales, or at least that’s what Sandra, our tour guide, thought it was when she was just a girl. Really we visit the Gonzales Jail, a place seeping with rich history and a ghostly feeling.

With legendary flavors for your taste buds, ghost stories for your imagination, and Texas history for the Lone-Star State lover in all of us, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.

This Weekend on The Texas Bucket List – 2017 Christmas Special

On this special Christmas episode of the Texas Bucket List, we’re exploring and icy wonderland in Galveston, eating a burger fit for a true Texan Christmas, and getting in touch with our country music roots at the Texas Cowboy’s Christmas Ball.

First, we head to Galveston Island to explore an icy wonderland in Moody Gardens. Here we find more than two million pounds of hand carved ice, an chilly ice slide, and a bar serving up the coldest drinks on the island.

Next we visit an old friend in Houston combine a traditional tamale Christmas dinner with a Hubcap burger. This meaty Tex-Mex treat will get your taste buds in the yuletide spirit in just one bite.

We end our Christmas travels in Anson, at the Texas Cowboy’s Christmas Ball. While at the ball we see representations of Christmas Texas history, meet some of Texas music’s living legends, and experience a Texas Christmas ball that has been inspiring Texans since 1885.

So, bundle up, bring a Lone-Star State sized appetite, and get ready to dance to toe-tapping Texas country music. This is an episode you and your Christmas spirit don’t want to miss.

This weekend on The Texas Bucket List – Steaks, Burgers, and (Prairie) Dogs

This week on The Texas Bucket List we’re filling our stomachs with huge cuts of Texas beef, sinking our teeth into a good ol’ fashioned burger, and conversing with some of the cutest critters in the Lone-Star State.

First, we find ourselves in Leona where the line for dinner is out the door and around the corner of Leona Steak House. So what makes this beef worth waiting for? Well, you’ll have to see it to believe it!

Next we head on over to San Antonio. Here we find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in Danny Boy’s Hamburgers. These good old fashioned hamburgers are cooked the way momma used to make them.

We end this week’s travels in Lubbock. The critters we find here resemble a famous Disney meerkat known for singing Hakuna Matata, but don’t let the resemblance fool you. These little cuties known as prairie dogs are truly a Lone-Star State site to be seen.

So, set your sit back, relax, and get ready to experience some Texas gems that are well worth a stop with us on this episode of The Texas Bucket List.
