Down in the Gateway city, Livi’s Mexicue’s blend of traditional Texas barbeque techniques with Mexican spices and flavors proves to be a winning combo. Their beef rib pasta plate earned 5th place on this Bite of the Season ranking.
#4 Mia Marco’s Pizza in Selma
In a suburb of San Antonio, Mia Marco’s Pizza is offering world championship winning pies deep in the heart of Texas, proving the state can really do it all. Their classic margherita, pepperoni jam, and grandma style pizzas earned 4th place on Bite of the Season 22.
#3 Wagon Wheel in Eagle Pass
Back down to the border, the Wagon Wheel in Eagle Pass serves excellent Texas grub from beautiful smoked brisket to a preposterously sized chicken fried steak. This local fixture cemented it’s spot at #3 on the Season 22 Bite of the Season list.
#2 Tuscan Pig in Longview
Bet you didn’t expect East Texas Italian to make the list! The Tuscan Pig in Longview their cheesy handmade lasagna, and their pesto Tuscan pork gnocchi solidified their silver medal on Season 22’s Bite of the Season rankings.
#1 Roegels BBQ in Katy
When a BBQ joint stands out on The Texas Bucket List the way Roegels did this season, they have to take the cake. They gave us a trio of sandwiches to try out, and the brisket cheese steak, house made bologna and Cuban sandwiches all helped Roegels take the number one spot on this season’s Bite of the Season!
