This week on The Texas Bucket List, we’ve got birds, burgers, blues, and big ol’ trains!
We start things off just a stones throw from downtown Austin at the Austin Nature and Science Center. If you’re looking to explore the environment, this is the perfect place to visit with the kids. A nature oasis on the edge of town, there’s no better place for hands-on, interactive fun and learning to introduce your children to environmental sciences.
We love a restaurant with a unique background, and the Dubl-R in Waco definitely fits the bill. Come and have your senses rooting and raving with a taste of the R&R Burger. Stacked with layers upon layers of delicious ingredients, this is a burger that you don’t want to miss.
Ready your soul for some Texas blues rock by singer Blue Louie performing his song, “Weeble Walkin.”
And will close things out with a visit to a long-standing train depot in Ennis that happens to be a museum. Just a few generations ago, it was known as the place where the railroads and cotton fields meet. Once the main stop between Dallas and Austin, this station now serves as a testament to the history and culture of the people of Ennis.
