This week on “The Texas Bucket List,” we visit places that have undergone renovations to bring you some of the best of what Texas has to offer.
Our first stop is at Geppetto’s Theater and Workshop in the Dallas Hilton Anatole Hotel. If you think that marionette plays are just for kids, then think again. The medieval charm and magical feel will transport you back and time and make you forget that the puppets onstage aren’t real. This is a performance that you have to see to believe!
After watching the theater’s amazing routine, we drop in at the Peached Tortilla in Austin to sample a burger that has homegrown southern roots, but branches into the flavor explosion of Asian cuisine. It’s a blend of flavors well mixed with a few special ingredients that you just have to try for yourself!
Next, we sway with the music to some head-nodding, foot-tapping blues by Jay White and the Blues Commanders performing “What Have We Learned.”
For our last stop, we kick back and relax in Del Rio to the beautiful views and dazzling sunsets of the Lodge at Sanders Point by Lake Amistad. There’s no better place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a family trip or weekend getaway in the cabins. We’ll see you next week, after we’re done taking our own little vacation!
