First we steep ourselves in Texas tradition by visiting the Sam Houston Memorial Museum in Huntsville. What could be more Texan than a place dedicated to the first president of the Lone Star State? For our TX Burger Burger of the Week we stop in at Karbach Brewing Company in Houston to sample a burger that pairs with some delicious in-house brewed beverages. A mouthwatering sky-high burger that boasts a 44 Farms patty, it’s go big and go bold at this brewery that seeks to capture the essence of Texas style and flavor – and succeeds!
Next, for some funky boondock beats, we visit the Brazos County Fair to listen to Catfish Cain’s “Squeeze Honey.”
On our last stop we visit the mini-paradise that is the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Home to many different varieties of plants and exotic specimens, the gardens boast five greenhouses in the critically acclaimed Lucile Halsell Conservatory. From cacti and succulents to ferns and orchids, it’s an outdoor excursion you’ll want to take to appreciate the natural beauty of the Lone Star State.
