This week on The Texas Bucket List we fill up at a stop on Route 66 that’s helped travelers keep going 1936, sink our teeth into a hamburger you might be surprised to find on the border, and catch up with a band that’s been around since 1860.
Our first stop might leave you thinking you’re in Cars Land at a Disney theme park, because Tower Station in Shamrock Texas served as inspiration for the filling station in the Cars move. This Texas gem located just 15 miles from the Oklahoma border has a history you wont want to miss learning about.
At the other end of the state, we find ourselves in downtown Brownsville where we eat a burger so good, people cross the boarder daily to refuel on them. You won’t find tacos at Rutledge Burger, but you will find some darn good burgers.
We end this weeks travels in Boerne where we enjoy music with deep Texas roots and German lineage preformed every other Tuesday in June and July. As the Boerne Village Band starts playing the crowed starts swaying as the sun goes down in Central Texas.
So fill up your tank, put on your dancing shoes, and get ready to eat one heck of a burger in this weeks episode of The Texas Bucket List.
